About Hon. Millicent Omanga
Millicent Omanga is a Kenyan politician, entrepreneur and former nominated Senator who served in the Senate of Kenya from 2017 to 2022. She has built a prominent public profile through politics, business and community initiatives, and is popularly known by her supporters as “Mama Miradi.”
Before entering national politics, Omanga established herself in business as the founder and Managing Director of Milways Enterprises, a company involved in construction, interior décor, furniture and related supplies. She also previously served as a director at the Kenya Electricity Generating Company (KenGen).
In the 2022 General Election, she contested the Nairobi County Woman Representative seat. In March 2026, she joined the Democracy for the Citizens Party (DCP) and has expressed her intention to contest the Nairobi Woman Representative position again in the 2027 General Election. Beyond politics, she has remained involved in community and social initiatives, including programmes supporting girls and women.
